As you prepare for your next visit, please understand we may not be able
to serve you as quickly as we have prior to the pandemic and wait times
may be longer than usual. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your
appointment. If you are unable to wait, please let us know and we would
be happy to allow you to drop off your pet for their appointment and return
at a designated pick up time once the services have been performed.
We are allowing one adult to accompany their pet into our hospital for
their pet’s appointment in order to limit exposure between people. We require all clients to wear a mask while in the building at the time
of your pet’s appointment. You can expect our team member to be
wearing a mask too, as it is for your protection as well as theirs. As
we strive to make our services as convenient as possible, we ask for your
consideration as these changes are harder on our team who miss seeing
you accompany your pet in for their appointment as well.
If your pet is due for an appointment, we encourage you to call in advance
to schedule.
We are currently booking out about two weeks for all wellness exam and vaccines. As always, we promise to do our best to accommodate your schedule, however
please keep in mind our appointment slots may be filling more quickly
than normal due to the pandemic. We understand “sick” visits
require more urgent attention, and have set aside designated time for
these appointments, but as the day goes on and these slots fill up we
may not be able to see your pet in the most timely manner. We are happy
to provide contact information for the urgent care clinics in the area
if we are unable to see your pet.
We also ask you to provide 24 to 48 hours
for prescription and diet refill requests, and we can call you as soon as they are ready. Please keep in mind that
many distributors and manufacturers have been affected by the pandemic
as well and we may not be able to access certain medications or foods
as easily as we once were.
At, Shirlington Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves in the standard of care we deliver and share the common goal of your pet’s well-being. We are also committed to keeping our team, our patients and our clients safe. We appreciate your help in making sure your pet’s visit runs smoothly and look forward to continuing to be here for you when they need us.
